ABOUT THE COMPANY – AFRIMAT

Afrimat Limited is a mining company and provider of construction materials and industrial minerals to the construction, infrastructure, building and civil markets in South Africa (particularly in Gauteng, the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, the Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, the Free State, and Limpopo) and Mozambique. The company has 5 main divisions, namely: Readymix, Contracting International, Concrete Products, Mining & Aggregates, and Industrial Minerals.

The group service projects of various scales – from small-scale private sector contracts to large-scale construction and infrastructure projects for parastatals and state-owned enterprises. Afrimat’s main mission is to operate opencast mines, provide customers with contracting services and add value via mined products.

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

Afrimat will be awarding bursaries to students pursuing their studies towards a Mechanical Engineering (N1-N6) qualification and originally from the Victor Khanye Municipality, Mpumalanga.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Originally from the Victor Khanye Municipality, in Mpumalanga
  • Studying towards a Mechanical Engineering qualification (N1-N6)
  • Studying at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa
  • *Preference will be given to students from designated groups and previously disadvantaged backgrounds
